Join Ken Piddington as he lays the foundation for creating value on the other side of the firewall Biography: Ken Piddington is Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Executive Advisor at MRE Consulting. At MRE Ken is responsible defining and executing the company’s business technology strategy and also heads their CxO advisory practice. He is an experienced business leader and technology strategist with more than 20 years of transformation leadership experience gained as CIO and executive advisor for Fortune 1000 companies. Ken is the former CIO at Global Partners LP, a Fortune 500 midstream logistics and energy products marketing company, where he was responsible for leading, developing and implementing the business technology strategy during four years of unprecedented growth where the company revenues grew from $6 billion to $20 billion. This included the successful integration of multiple acquisitions and the implementation of supply chain technologies necessary to support dramatic geographic and line of business expansion. Ken is recognized as an industry thought leader, is a regular speaker at business and association conferences, and has been featured in multiple media publications. He currently chairs the Technology Committee for Stages Repertory Theatre, serves on the advisory board for the Energy Institute High School and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Sage School. Ken is actively involved in his local SIM Chapter and serves as a mentor and coach for aspiring IT leaders. Ken has been named a Computerworld Premier 100 Technology leader, is a CIO 100 award winner, and has twice been recognized as an Information Week 500 Top Technology Innovator. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Northeastern University, and attended Graceland College where he played football and baseball. Today, Ken makes Houston, Texas his home.
