Fall 2018 Midmarket CIO Award Finalists Announced

Boardroom Events is proud to announce the finalists for the Fall 2018 Midmarket CIO Award of Excellence. The winner will be honored on Tuesday, October 2 at the conclusion of Midmarket CIO Forum in San Antonio, TX.

This distinguished award honors an IT executive who’s successfully partnered with a leading solution provider(s) to drive business forward, celebrating those standout midmarket organizations and showcasing their stories with peer executives and IT teams.

Joshua Aaron has been nominated for the Fall 2018 CIO Award of Excellence at the Midmarket CIO Forum
Joshua Aaron, CTO, Hellman & Friedman, spearheaded an initiative with Qlik in his prior role as CIO for the NY Foundling to make EHR ubiquitous throughout the organization, optimize two independent EHR systems (one for clinical and one for behavioral health), connect the agency to a bi-directional exchange of health data with Healthix, and used Qlik Sense to create all the reports needed across these multiple data sources. Josh and Qlik created a self-service reporting platform using the Qlik Sense analytics solution across all agency departments that enabled key supervisors and senior executives to build dashboards that helped the organization better operate and reports that earned the Foundling recognition as the top agency in NY State for Evidence-Based Practice clinical services.

Stacy Black, Corp. Dir of Global IT at Benchmark Electronics, partnered with Scale Computing to implement IT infrastructure that was easy to scale and replicate, reduce infrastructure complexity, speed up deployment, cut administration costs, make management much easier, provide a single point of contact for its entire distributed architecture and ensure high availability and redundancy. In addition, the company will make substantial savings over the lifetime of the equipment through reduced licensing and maintenance costs.
Joel Wolfe at Midmarket CIO Forum presented by Boardroom Events
Joel Wolfe, CIO at J-W Energy Company, partnered with @RISK Technologies to significantly advance their cyber threat protection footprint by effectively placing an “AI driven Cyber Net” across their entire network.  This allows us to gain real time insight into the health and risk of our corporate computing assets so we can better address and proactively respond to “unknown threats”.  By correlating the data from Firewalls, Routers, IDP and other security devices, the Quorum Network Consensus Solution brings together a holistic view of our environment that is unprecedented.  In addition, we can now also provide our stakeholders and risk management partners balanced scorecards as to the state of our overall cyber health.
